Gothos - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Gothos is a fictional planet that appears in the Star Trek: The Original Series episode The Squire of Gothos.
Gothos was encountered on stardate 2124.5 by the Enterprise, under the command of Captain James T. Kirk.
Gothos appeared to be a barren world with a poisonous atmosphere incapable of supporting life, however a being known as Trelane resided there, making the planet his playground.

Gothos is an obscure adventure game with mild horror and full humor rolled into one.
Graphically, Gothos is created using still images of some real locations, which are covering the center area of the screen and an interface frame screen is put around them.
Gothos is an average adventure game that I would only recommend if your life really depends on playing each and every adventure game that comes your way.

“The Squire Of Gothos” is an excellent example of a questionable episode that is saved by an excellent performance and given a boost by future history.
At length, the crew learn that the message originates from a world called Gothos, which appears to be the private estate of a gent styling himself as Squire Trelane, Retired (William Campbell, Love Me Tender), who looks very much the eighteenth century fop.
“The Squire Of Gothos” is one of many episodes of “Star Trek” where the series styles itself as “science fiction” while winking uncontrollably, for truly, this one amounts to “science fantasy” better suited to “The Outer Limits” or something of that nature.
