He said the government was trying its best to establish an alliance of the pro-government parties and for this purpose it had started bribing the political parties who were supporting the incumbent government's policies.
He said the government was currently holding talks with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM-A) and the Sindh Democratic Alliance (SDA) for their inclusion in the government-backed alliance.
The government is bribing the political parties for setting up a grand alliance with a view to supporting it in future, Jamaat-i-Islami Secretary General Syed Munawar Hassan told newsmen here on Sunday.

HYDERABAD, Dec 20: Sindh Education Minister Irfanullah Khan Marwat has stressed the need for improvement in the quality of education at primary and secondary levels, saying a strong base is necessary for higher education.
Speaking at the Sindh University Convocation, 2002, on Saturday, he said the Sindh government had taken several steps in that direction and made primary education compulsory.
Mr Marwat, who is also the pro-chancellor of the SU, said the government had provided free books to students of class-I to V. He said to control the dropout ratio of students, specially girl students, in remote areas, the government had announced a stipend of Rs100 per month for girl students of class-VI to VIII.

Sheikh, chief of the Sindh Democratic Alliance, lost the election on a Provincial Assembly seat from Shikarpur against Aga Tariq Pathan of the PPP by a margin of a few hundred votes, according to the unofficial results announced a day after the elections.
Sheikh's SDA is an alliance of anti-PPP politicians trying to block former premier Benazir Bhutto's party in its stronghold of Sindh.
