		John Heskett is Chair Professor at the School of Design of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University after 15 years as professor at the Institute of Design, Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago.
		Under her stewardship, it plays a key role in the emergence of a design culture in the Province of Quebec, encourages innovation, extends the influence of Quebec designers into the global arena and is instrumental in the development and promotion of products reaping international awards.
		In 1985, while directing the Secretariat for the Development of the Montreal Region and the committee responsible for defining the strategy to reinstate Montreal in its role as development centre, she became aware of the economic importance of design.

	BioethicsWeb - The gateway for Internet resources in biomedical ethics, provided by the Wellcome Trust and BIOME (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-02)
		Its aims are two pronged; to support multidisciplinary research, and to promote educational projects through a series of community and outreach programmes.
		There is a paid summer internship for undergraduates, and the Institute plans to develop a staff and student exchange with a leading US bioethics centre as well as an economic dimension to its work and a graduate programme linking bioethics with humanities.
