This is seemingly just another example of Howard Dean's rigid unwillingness to even consider an individual's point of view, if it does not coincide with his own.
In 1998, when the Governor was asked about my position on reproductive rights he proceeded to make a joke out of it, implying that my personal position on the issue, my choice to be Pro-Life, was somehow ridiculous or funny.

Current Governor Jim Douglas (R) has done a fine job and certainly isn't to blame because IBM or other companies have cut jobs the way every other corporation in the country has and has kept Vermont government expenses in check and taxes in check.
The most endearing, and one of the most coherent, was an elderly woman named Patricia Hejny from the Vermont Grassroots party.
He also increased the sales tax by 20%, we have several towns in southern Vermont talking about seceding to NH, and he's proposed increasing several other taxes during the debates this year.
