Following a brief period of training in IWAMA after the war, Shioda established Yoshinkan Aikido in 1955 and opened a dojo in Tsukudo Hachiman with the financial backing of a number of prominent people.
Shioda stated that the aikido he teaches is a faithful rendering of the prewar AIKI BUDO techniques of the founder when he was at his technical peak.
Shioda appeared in FRIENDSHIP DEMONSTRATION II in 1986.

I read a bit about Gozo Shioda doing a demonstration in Tokyo for John F. Kennedy and after the demonstration JFK apparently thoguth that it was very impressive but wondered how Shioda would do against his big bodyguards.
Shioda invited the bodyguards one at a time onto the mat and ended up perfoming yonkajo onone of them.
I would think that if Gozo Shioda used yonkajo on the body guard and got him on the ground whether it was strictly a demonstration or a fight should not really matter.
