No less impressive are the plans to improve HNK Hajduk Split's Poljud stadium, and with the Kosevo Olympic stadium in Sarajevo having staged the 1984 Winter Olympics, there are plenty of good venues already near the required standard.
In addition, NK Osijeks's Gradski vrt, NK Varteks's home stadium and HNK Rijeka's Kantrida are all fine Croatian stadiums which would be modernised.
In Bosnia-Herzegovina, the Bijeli Brijeg stadium in Mostar, the City stadium in Banja Luka, Zenica's Bilino Polje stadium, Tuzla's Tušanj stadium and the Pod boricima stadium in Bihac are all itching for the opportunity to host major European ties.

The leading club in Ukraine, Shakhtar Donetsk, has for quite some time now been tracking one Croatian offensive winger who by their scout’s opinion could do a good job in boosting up their offensive line this summer.
By the reports from Croatian media, the word is about NK Osijek’s Stjepan Lukic who has scored nine goals so far for the club from Gradski vrt during this season in which he played on 19 league matches.
Shakhtar coach Mircea Lucescu already has two Croatians in his ranks Darijo Srna and Stipe Pletikosa along three Serbians Zvonimir Vukic, Igor Duljaj and Nenad Lalatovic but seems like he wouldn’t mind to sign another player from Former Yugoslav Republics.
