Graham Watson will be meeting Nigel Sheinwald, UK ambassador to the EU, and will be stressing the need for the UK to have an early referendum on joining the euro now that the single currency has replaced the currencies of 12 other member states.
Graham Watson will be meeting senior members and staff of Dorset County Council at County Hall in Dorchester to brief them on current EU issues and the challenges and opportunities for the South West in an enlarged European Union.
Graham has led calls for an early referendum on whether the UK should join the single currency, before it is forced to join, if, as Graham predicts the Euro becomes a "parallel" currency to the pound.

 About Graham Tope (London Assembly Liberal Democrats)
Graham (Lord Tope) represents the Liberal Democrats on the London Governance Review Commission and has been appointed to the London Advisory Board of the Commission for Racial Equality (CRE).
Graham has been a councillor for the Sutton Central ward in the London Borough of Sutton since 1974 and was Leader of the Council for 13 years from 1986, when the Liberal Democrats won control of Sutton Council from the Conservatives, until 1999 when he stood down to fight the first GLA elections.
Graham has been a member of the EU's Committee of the Regions since it was created under the Maastricht Treaty in 1994 as the "voice" of Regional and Local Government in the EU's decision making process.

The figures were revealed this week by the Mayor of London, Ken Livingstone, in answer to a question from London Assembly member, Lord Graham Tope.
Lord Tope, who is Croydon's representative on the Metropolitan Police Authority, said: "When you have 25,000 people descending on Croydon town centre on a Saturday night, that causes trouble and the police are caught up in the middle of it.
Lord Tope added: "The only positive thing that can come out of these figures is that the police are taking a much less tolerant view of yobbish behaviour.

 Police stations to house cell phone towers
A police station in London is to become the first in the UK to allow the sitting of a mobile phone base station on its premesis following a approval from the Metropolitan Police Authority's Finance Committee to allow the construction at Chiswick Police Station.
Graham Tope, Chair of the Finance Committee, said "The Authority is well aware of the sensitivities regarding the location of telecommunications aerials.
That is why we insisted that each and every decision should be brought before the Finance Committee to satisfy ourselves that, as far as possible, the decision will not be detrimental to either the health or safety of our own staff and the broader community.

Lord Graham Tope, councillor for Sutton Central and leader of the Greater London Assembly Liberal Democrats, has written to train companies operating in Sutton asking them to join Transport for London's School Party Travel scheme.
Lord Tope is currently waiting for a response from the Association of Train Operating Companies, which includes Thameslink Rail and South West Trains among its members.
Lord Tope said: "I am particularly concerned that school pupils in the borough may be denied the benefit of the School Party Travel scheme because it is not practicable in our part of south London for them to reach most educational venues by bus or tube.

Coming from Haringey myself, where there has been more than one fl death in custody - I am acutely aware of the community's opinion of policing and discrimination.
My colleague on the MPA Graham Tope is one of the ones that voted the funding for the officers through.
Having taken advice - it would seem that the situation is that there is a presumption to fund officers to fight their legal case if what they are accused of happened whilst they were carrying out their job.
