Grampian Police is the police force in the north east of Scotland, covering the council areas of Aberdeenshire, City of Aberdeen and Moray.
Grampian Police are headquartered in Aberdeen (the former Grampian region).
It was formed on May 16, 1975, when the Grampian region was created, as a merger of the previously-formed Scottish North Eastern Counties Constabulary and the Aberdeen City Police.

The teachers were given considerable leeway over the exact nature of their projects, but were told that they had to involve the use of games or simulations of some sort, and had to involve the establishment of links with at least one local industrial or commercial organisation.
One of the teachers who had participated in the project was seconded to work on the two areas, and, in collaboration with the evaluator, she developed a 'do-it-yourself' pack on the design and use of games and simulations in primary schools.
This was distributed to all primary schools in Grampian Region, and has since proved extremely successful in promoting the wider use of such techniques.

However, since the start of the Waste Aware Grampian Recycling Centres & Points campaign, the biggest success has been the news that in 2004-2005, 61% of Grampian residents are now recycling at their Centres & Points — a 20% increase on the previous year.
The number of residents who didn’t know where their local recycling facilities were has dropped to less than 8% - a massive 80% reduction from what had been identified as one of the primary barriers to recycling only one year previously.

Non epidural analgesia was found to be the most popular choice for pain relief in labour in the Grampian region between 1986 and 2001, although an increase in the uptake of epidural services is starting to occur.
Despite the safety and acceptability of regional analgesia, an NHS wide survey carried out for all deliveries in 2002–2003 showed that only a third of all deliveries took place under regional anaesthesia/analgesia [3].
This study shows that in the Grampian region of Scotland between 1986 and 2001, non-epidural analgesia was the most popular choice for pain relief in labour, although an increase in the uptake of epidural services is beginning to occur.
