  Grand Kru Representation Issue: What A Shame to the Kru People
Presently in the transitional political dispensation in the country, except for Grand Kru County, all other counties which somehow had problems in selecting their representative to the National Transitional Legislative Assembly, have overcome such by being solved theirs, and are now represented.
Subsequently, the various counties began meeting to “take one out of two.” As I indite this article, except for Grand Kru, all of the counties have resolved the impasse and their representatives have since taken seat.
The fact of the matter is that all the counties had similar problem’s, but today, they have put that behind and are moving ahead while Grand Kru is still on the backseat.

County boundaries were adjusted, mainly by extending the coastal counties into the interior.
Bomi, Gibi, and Marshall territories were subordinate to Montserrado county; Rivercess territory was subordinate to Grand Bassa county; and Kru Coast and Sass Town territories were subordinate to Maryland county.

 Grand Kru Senator Refuses To Answer Political Questions
Responding to the issue of forced-labor practice in Grand Kru County, the senator intimated that there were still conflicting reports about such allegations which she could not confirm or deny.
Commenting on the state of affairs of the county, she said the county's infrastructure was in ruins and was cut-off from the rest of the country.
Some of the Grand Kru citizens at the meeting, however, expressed their disatisfation with the way the senator "handled herself" during the larger community meeting.

There was a strong temptation to conclude that elections would not have been possible in October this year because of what appeared to be “logistical impediments.” However, thanks to the hardworking electoral team both in headquarters and in the field, that was proved wrong.

 George Bush Bridge Dedicated in Barclayville
Road rehabilitation and bridge construction link previously unconnected towns of Topo and Barclayville in Grand Kru County and allow access for government and humanitarian agencies to enhance basic services and the rule of law in the county for the first time in several decades.
In order to expedite the construction process, the project encompassed erection of a 60 m pre-fabricated bailey-type steel bridge, which has been completed and is facilitating the movement of traffic across the Nuh River.
The bridge, named in honor of the American President George W. Bush which was chosen by local community leaders, owes credit to the people of Grand Kru, who worked tirelessly to ensure completion under difficult circumstances and extreme conditions in this remote area of the country.

They refused to leave our Liberian politics alone to new, young, bold and compassionate leaders, who are somewhere waiting to take over and aggressively do for their people and country once these guys leave the political scene forever.
It is unfortunate that certain members of the Grand Kru community, so carried away by the charm and money of Blamoh Nelson, went about endorsing and "blessing" his senatorial candidacy, as if there are no qualified persons around to represent the hardworking people of that region.
Nelson's candidacy is unfair and an insult to others who've lived in that county their entire life, toil the soil, cut the bushes, clean the roads and pay their taxes in order to have a place to live and make their dream of sending their kids to school a reality.
