Granted, it has its problems, (like the fact that it turns into a pumpkin at midnight!), but I think I've encountered far more delays and station closings with the NYC MTA than with the tube when I was living in London.
I know the MTA is 30 years older than the tube, but it's sad that our stations don't have digital announcements for the next train arrival and that you can never understand the conductor when (s)he speaks!
