		Grant County was formed on February 4, 1869 and named for Ulysses S. Grant, president of the United States.
		In the county the population is spread out with 25.90% under the age of 18, 8.00% from 18 to 24, 29.60% from 25 to 44, 24.30% from 45 to 64, and 12.20% who are 65 years of age or older.
