Grant Township is a civil township of Clare County in the U.S. state of Michigan.
As of the 2000 census, the township population was 3,034.
In the township the population was spread out with 25.7% under the age of 18, 7.7% from 18 to 24, 26.3% from 25 to 44, 26.0% from 45 to 64, and 14.3% who were 65 years of age or older.

 CONSTITUTION OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN OF 1908
Each county, or group of counties forming a representative district shall be entitled to a separate representative when it has attained a population equal to 50 per cent of the ratio of representation, and in addition thereto, shall be entitled to 1 additional representative for each additional full ratio of representation.
The board of supervisors, or in counties having county auditors, such auditors, shall adjust all claims against their respective counties; appeals may be taken from such decisions of the boards of supervisors or auditors to the circuit court in such manner as shall be prescribed by law.
No township shall grant any public utility franchise which is not subject to revocation at the will of the township, unless such proposition shall have first received the affirmative vote of a majority of the electors of such township voting thereon at a regular or special election.

Guthrie, the treasurer of Carroll county, and for twenty-four years a resident of Iowa, is a native of Ireland, and was born in the county of Clare on the 16th of October, 1830.
