 Rusk County Development receives tourism grant
MADISON (May 21, 2002) - Gov. Scott McCallum today announced Rusk County received a $10,125 state tourism grant for Trails and Tails, a marketing campaign designed to increase the number of visitors to the area in the fall of 2003 by promoting the county's trails system and many hunting and fishing opportunities.
The program also offers grant support during the second and third year of a new project, but in decreasing amounts each year in hopes that the project will become self-sufficient.
JEM proposals are submitted to the Wisconsin Department of Tourism and are reviewed by Department staff and the JEM Review Committee of the Governor's Council on Tourism.
