The only possible reasons for the Halls grave descration to be wrong is either that the suffering it caused living relatives is too high a price to pay or that you don't agree with the struggle the activists are waging.
There probably little point in trying to argue one might have been at least partially beneficial for people as opposed to one which was definately not (nor was it particularly beneficial for animals for that matter).
You're right the ones who do it in public, harass people no matter how peripheral their involvement with animal use, burn buildings, and dig up graves are a much better representation.
