However, in their last line, perhaps out of some misconception on the part of the author, the entry claims that the gravitino should be naturally heavy because of the gauge hierarchy problem.
It is precisely because of the gauge hierarchy problem that we cannot break supersymmetry at high scales (the caveat being the class of strongly coupled conformal field theories that Goh, Markus and I constructed under the "SUSY without SUSY" paradigm) and expect a technically natural low energy theory.
Thus, we need to break supersymmetry at lower energies with the consequence that a light gravitino is forced on most models that endeavour to capture some degree of realism.

  Supergravity Summary
When the gravitino is charged under some of the vector fields in the theory, the theory is called gauged supergravity.
Gravitinos are fermions, which means that according to the spin-statistics theorem they must have an odd number of spinorial indices.
In fact the gravitino field has one spinor and one vector index, which means that gravitinos transform as a tensor product of a spinorial representation and the vector representation of the Lorentz group.

[0705.0219] Determining the Mass for a Light Gravitino
Title: Determining the Mass for a Light Gravitino
Abstract: Gauge mediated supersymmetry breaking scenarios with an ultra-light gravitino of mass m_{3/2}=1-10 eV are very interesting, since there is no cosmological gravitino problem.
We propose a new experimental determination of the gravitino mass for such an ultra-light gravitino, by measuring a branching ratio of two decay modes of sleptons.

Citebase - Gravitino Dark Matter in the CMSSM With Improved Constraints from BBN   (Site not responding. Last check: )
In the framework of the Constrained MSSM we re--examine the gravitino as the lightest superpartner and a candidate for cold dark matter in the Universe.
Assuming the gravitino mass in the GeV to TeV range, and for natural ranges of other supersymmetric parameters, the neutralino region is excluded, while for smaller values of the gravitino mass it becomes allowed again.
The gravitino relic abundance is consistent with observational constraints on cold dark matter from BBN and CMB in some well defined domains of the stau region but, in most cases, only due to a dominant contribution of the thermal population.

Hadronic decay of the gravitino in the early universe and its implications to particle cosmology
In the inflationary universe, gravitinos are produced after the reheating and may decay during the big-bang nucleosynthesis (BBN).
I will discuss the effects of the decay of the gravitino on the BBN and derive upper bounds on the reheating temperature after the inflation.

A Bound on the Gravitino Mass from Fat Gravity and Thin Cosmological Constant
I study the proposal made by R.Sundrum that the small cosmological constant may be natural if we give up pointlike gravitons and pointlike gravitational couplings at distances shorter than about 20 microns ("fat gravity").
I show model-independently that in order for this scenario to coexist with a supersymmetric extension of the standard model, the gravitino mass must be less than about (20 micron)^(-1) or 10^(-2) eV.

Supersymmetry to the rescue? - 4
As with a gauge boson, the gravitino can gain mass when the ground state of the scalar potential breaks the symmetry of the action.
In this model, the gravitino acquires a mass by eating a massless Goldstino, but because of the minus sign in the scalar potential, the total vacuum energy can be tuned to be zero.
The three candidates are: a gravitino (fermionic superpartner to the graviton), a sneutrino (scalar superpartner to the neutrino) or a neutralino (fermionic superpartner to a neutral gauge boson or neutral Higgs scalar).

We investigate supergravity in which the gravitino is the lightest supersymmetric particle (LSP) and a slepton, sneutrino or neutralino is the next-to-lightest supersymmetric particle (NLSP).
We determine which superpartner masses are viable in all of these cases, applying both electromagnetic and hadronic BBN constraints to the leading two- and three-body NLSP decays.
This establishes the viability of the gravitino LSP scenario and the possibility of superWIMP gravitino dark matter.

If R-parity is violated the gravitino decays, but with a half-live far exceeding the age of the universe and thus is, in principle, a candidate for the dark matter.
We consider the decays of the next-to-lightest supersymmetric particle, assumed to be the neutralino.

The gravitino is massless in the simplest supergravity theories.
In fact, a finite probability for loop diagrams in a quantum theory of gravity is obtained by including gravitinos in the interaction: (infinite) contributions of the gravitinos cancel those of the gravitons.
Thus a graviton can be transformed into a gravitino and a gravitino into a spin-1 particle.

Gravitinos with a mass in the keV range are an interesting candidate for warm dark matter.
We construct a model where the decay of the messenger particles that transmit the supersymmetry breaking to the observable sector generates the required entropy to dilute the gravitino relic density by the required factor of a few to come in line with observations.
The model is natural, and requires only that the coupling of the messenger sector to the standard model be set so that the decay happens at the appropriate time.

The second one is mainly about the coupling of the gravitino to the 3-form field A - it's sort of like the coupling between the electron and electromagnetic field in QED.
I know it amounts to adding some terms that are quadratic in the gravitino field, and I know it's required to get the whole Lagrangian to be invariant under a "supersymmetry transformation", which mixes up the gravitino field with the graviton and 3-form fields.
The remaining part of the representation is irreducible and it's the gravitino.

 Daniel Ruschmeier - Abstract
If the gravitino is the lightest supersymmetric particle and all other SUSY particles are too heavy to be created at LEP energies, gravitino pair-production could be the only process involving SUSY particles accessible at LEP.
From an analysis of the process electron positron to gravitino gravitino photon, a lower limit of 8.9 times 10 to the power -6 eV has been determined at the 95% confidence level.
Cross section limits have been set depending on the masses of the particles involved in neutralino gravitino production and neutralino pair-production and neutralino decay to gravitino and photon, and for the production of the lightest and second lightest neutralino and pair-production of the second lightest neutralino and its decay to lightest neutralino and photon.

Based on the R-parity violation option of the minimal supersymmetric Standard Model, we examine the scenario where the massive gravitino, relic from the hot big-bang, is the lightest supersymmetric particle and can decay through one or several of the trilinear R-parity violating interactions.
We calculate the rates of the gravitino decay via the various three-body decay channels with final states involving three quarks and/or leptons.
Therefore, the considered scenario would upset the standard big-bang nucleosynthesis and we conclude that it does not seem to constitute a natural solution for the cosmological gravitino problem.
