As British overseas possessions continued to increase, the raising of sheep for wool and mutton became a principal occupation in the colonies; the practice of exporting wool from England and importing manufactured woolen articles was gradually replaced by the import of wool and the manufacture and export of yarns and fabrics.
In principle, the “Crown in Parliament” is supreme; that is, legislation passed by Parliament, which consists of the House of Commons, elected directly by the people, and the House of Lords, made up of hereditary peers and appointive members—archbishops, bishops, lords of appeal, and life peers—becomes law upon royal assent.
Parliament is dissolved by the sovereign at the end of its 5-year term or on advice of the prime minister.

My constituency has one of the pilot schemes for fixed penalty notices, and precisely none has been issued against people for throwing fireworks in the street, mainly because those people are under the age of 18 and fixed penalty notices cannot be given to people under that age.
As we have heard from many constituencies, it is the way in which fireworks are used by hooligans in communities and their availability throughout the year that cause the problems experienced by the public.
Recently, a constituent wrote to me to say that she had had to have her dog put down because it had bitten her child after it was distressed by a firework display.

I know from my constituents that they do not wish to have an outright ban on fireworks, nor do they wish to see the decibel limit on fireworks reduced to such a level that the firework cannot be propelled into the sky and explode in the way that gives pleasure to those watching it.
Our constituents want the control of noise to be the prime consideration of the House of Commons in dealing with fireworks, which is why that campaign should be a starting point.

Anthony Crosland - Encyclopedia, History, Geography and Biography
Charles Anthony Raven Crosland (29 August 1918 – 19 February 1977) was a British politician and Labour member of Parliament — as well as being a socialist theorist.
Crosland wrote the book The Future Of Socialism in 1956 in which he outlined the need for traditional socialism to adapt to modern circumstances — a context from which the use of the term "revisionism" has its origins in Britain, despite the gradualism associated with the Fabian Society since the end of the nineteenth century.
Crosland returned to the House of Commons in 1959 for the Grimsby constituency, which he would represent for the rest of his life.

Like all brainwashed, deluded revolutionaries, he doesn’t say: because if he did, the befuddled Conservative Party Constituency Association membership that is responsible for voting for this revolutionary clique into control of the Party’s continuation would hand in their Party cards and the whole ‘grassroots’ system which sustains what remains of this wayward Party, would collapse.
Collectively, the relevant components of controlling UK intelligence have concluded that the Great British Public is now sufficiently dumbed-down to be unable to make out the difference between free enterprise and collectivism, as the wrong-headed decision to elect David Cameron by the Conservative membership confirms.
