With construction scheduled to begin early next week and be completed by April, the bridges will be able to handle small aircrafts as well as large jets, varying degrees of traffic, and simultaneously board several flights.
The entire project is expected to total $2.1 million, 56 percent of which is provided by federal grants, 17 percent by airport enterprise funds, and 27 percent by New York State money that includes a grant made available by State Sen. Thomas W. Libous.
