Midtown Detroit is an area roughly two square miles between Downtown Detroit to the south and New Center to the north.

The traditional center of Detroit's Greek community, the Greektown historic district is one of the last surviving Victorian-era commercial streetscapes in downtown Detroit.
The area that today is known as Greektown was first developed by German immigrants as a residential community in the 1830s.
By the 1920s, Greektown was becoming primarily commercial; most of the Greek immigrants moved out of the area, but their restaurants, coffee houses, boutiques, and small groceries remained.

Take the Lodge until the freeway ends and turns into Jefferson in downtown Detroit.
Turn right at Monroe and you'll be in Greektown.
