  Coral reef Summary
Coral reefs are typically massive biogenic formations of calcium carbonate (limestone) that are deposited within or around the bodies of the inhabitants of the reef as skeletal material.
It is the upward growth of coralline algae on the outer part of the reef flat that ultimately results in an overall rise in the surface elevation of a reef, which typically slopes gently downward in towards the shore or lagoon and very steeply downward in the seaward direction.
Reefs are also home to a large variety of other organisms, including sponges, Cnidarians (which includes some types of corals and jellyfish), worms, crustaceans (including shrimp, spiny lobsters and crabs), mollusks (including cephalopods), echinoderms (including starfish, sea stars, sea urchins and sea cucumbers), sea squirts, sea turtles and sea snakes.

Cape York to Hinchinbrook - Great Barrier Reef
Cape York Peninsula is a sparsely populated, relatively untouched wilderness area, its rugged coastline pointing towards New Guinea with the eastern side of Cape York fringed by the coral gardens of the Great Barrier Reef.
The reef in this region is spotted with many un-spoilt islands, with only a few island resorts such as the luxurious resort on Lizard Island located 240 kilometres north of Cairns and 27 kilometres off the coast of North Queensland.
Surrounded by coral reefs, tidal flats and sandy beaches, the Family Islands are a chain of stunningly scenic continental islands, extending approximately 14km in length off the coast of Mission Beach.

Although there may be a few obvious places to search online for jobs, there may be a few other ideas that don't seem so obvious to a new Internet user or a new job seeker.
Many job seekers new to the Internet may not even consider going directly to the company or corporation website to look for a job.
If there is a certain company in your area that you think would have jobs available for your career or area of interest, it is a safe bet to go directly to their website.

 Reefball Kids Page
Oftentimes, coral reefs are surrounded by nothing but enormous areas of sand or sea grass and so all underwater life becomes centered around the reef as a source of food, shelter, and protection.
One reef may consist of enormous brain or boulder coral with heads as large as ten to twenty feet in diameter, while another reef in the same area would be nothing but sea fans and a few other soft corals.
Among the most common reef dwellers are the small six-to-eight-inch blue or yellow-striped grunts that inhabit the reefs in schools of hundreds, sometimes thousands, all swimming about in close proximity in an attempt to attain maximum protection from the reef's predators.

 IGOS Coral Reef Sub-theme Report
Because coral reefs are naturally heterogeneous and dynamic in time and space, with significant shifts in populations and coverage at various scales, it is difficult to define coral reef health or to distinguish natural from anthropogenic variability.
There are also dimensions of the coral reef sub-theme that are quite specific to coral reefs, such as the reef structure generated by biological activity and its morphological evolution relative to the ocean surface, coral bleaching, and the unique spectral signatures produced by the high level of symbioses in reef organisms.
To determine the health status of coral reefs according to their geographical situation, the coral reef ecosystem of each region and country should be divided into a number of geomorphological types and many long-term monitoring surveys should be used to establish optimum values for key parameters.
