Clark are the parents of ten children: a daughter died in infancy, and one son, William C., died in his 22d year: four sons and four daughters are living, and all are at home.
Clark was for many years prominent here in the grocery trade, from which he retired several years ago, having accumulated considerable wealth, and is now enjoying, in quiet ease, the fruits of his efforts of former years.

Pringle is a native of Clark County, being born one mile west of South Charleston in 1838, coming from a family of old pioneers; his grandfather was among the early settlers of Ohio from Kentucky: both of his parents are living, each of them having almost reached threescore and ten.
He was Treasurer and Auditor of Clark County in early days, and his daughter, Ruth Shipman, now in her 81st year, relates how her father used the kitchen for his office and the upper part of the cupboard for a safe.
Andrew remained in said county until his removal to this county, in 1875; he was married April 12, 1855, to Rachael Baker, by whom four children were born-William E., Jacob M., John A. (deceased), and Mary J. Rachael was the daughter of Nayl and Huldah (Mills) Baker; she departed this life in 1865.

They moved with their sons to Wisconsin in 1837 and settled on the Racine-Kenosha County Line at the intersection of Hy 41 (I-94) and Racine-Kenosha County Line Rd. They had 9 children, all born in CN(possibly Goshen).
Armenia died at Southport(Kenosha), WI on Sept. 23, 1841 & is buried at the Green Ridge Cemetery.
Clark Gillett lived in Mt. Pleasant Twp, Racine Co. He died on June 26, 1901 and his wife died on Apr. 25, 1925.

This town is bounded on the north and west by the towns of Decatur and Jefferson, respectively; on the east it is bounded by Rock county, and on the south by the State of Illinois.
After we had got out a quantity of timber, the sheriff, at the instance of the county commissioners, came to the island and attached it, the commissioners claiming that the timber belonged to the county, under an act of Congress giving to the different counties all the unsold overflowed lands lying within the county.
The resolution, in brief, was one defining what was the intention of the former session in locating the county seat of Green county, declaring that the intention of the legislature was to locate the county seat at the point known as Andrick Town.

When the Wisconsin Central road passed through the town of Colby, six miles distant, settlers commenced coming to that town, and it was several years before the settlement reached back into this town.
Later the Wisconsin Central Company built a line of road West from Abbotsford to Eau Claire, which passed within a mile of Green Grove.
At the Green Grove post office is a general store, which together with the post office is run by Emil Meyers.

Trainmen on the run felt this was a very scenic route, being primitive with the wooded areas seldom seen otherwise, an outcrop of rock that dwarfed the train, the crops, creeks, Little Sugar River, wildlife areas, and the magnificent view of Lake Winnetka at Albany.
Skirting Decatur lake and County Club the train traveled into Brodhead going halfway through the city before arriving at the depot and mainline.
With the last run, went the last diesel engine, the last two freight cars and the last caboose of the Milwaukee Road's, "Limburger Special," a name applied to the train since its early day cargo was told by its aroma-limburger cheese.
