		There’s a big splashy finish in which the bad guy army is defeated and the status quo is re-established.
		All the Green Lanterns amass for the big finish, including a couple who were sidelined for most of the series.
		As stated above, this issue reestablishes the Corp's status quo, propping up Gardner’s role along the way, but there’s a nice little foreshadowed mystery dropped toward the end that may be well in full throttle once the ongoing series begins One Year Later.

		I knew of a few scenes and ideas for Corps, and I was sworn to secrecy regarding Dave Gibbons’ involvement until DC released it.
		This series reveals the Guardians on Oa are building a new Corps, seeking Green Lantern recruits to be trained by Kilowog and Guy Gardner (although Guy has other thoughts).
		Another concept I loved was the idea of someone who was selected to be a Green Lantern who has no desire whatsoever to be one.

		Unbeknownst to them however is a new threat to the universe which is slowly crawling towards Oa, and the combined powers of all the Lanterns in the universe may not be enough to stop it.
		While Recharge isn't a revolutionary yarn of the DC universe, it is a fast and fun action tale nicely weaved by fan favorite writer Johns and Watchmen artist Gibbons, whose Infinite Crisis tie in, the Rann/Thanagar War, is better left to be forgotten, even if this has some ties to it.
		Despite all that, GL: Recharge is still a more than solid Green Lantern story that doesn't deter from the legacy of the emerald heroes, and this is worth picking up for GL fans.
