The Greens launched their campaign against fluoridation on the 4th of September have been circulating a petition to the Parliament calling for rejection of fluoride in favour of safer and as effective ways of preventing the serious problem of dental caries.
Because the NZ Green Party had not previously developed a specific policy on fluoridation, and is divided in its opinion, we took on the task of researching this issue, drawing particularly on excellent material from the UK Greens website - thank you.
The Tompkins County (NY) Green Party did not pretend to have scientific expertise, and was aware that experts disagree, but we were convinced to encourage rejection of this procedure by the stand against fluoridation taken by the union of EPA scientists, and by the rejection of fluoridation by most of Europe.

I am glad to see the Greens do so well, but unfortunately
going into government is going to mean they will trade their principles for power
just like any radical party has ever done and like the Greens in Germany.

The Green Party is not incorrect in its support for waste charges.

There already exists a mechanism by which householders can claim the charge against their PAYE taxes, I think for some people.

The Greens rationale for this is:
not more but different taxation.
