Green Street - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Green Street is a 2005 film, starring Elijah Wood and Charlie Hunnam, about football hooliganism in England.
The film is named after Green Street, a street in the London Borough of Newham where the Boleyn Ground (more commonly known as Upton Park) is located.
The West Ham 'firm' in the film is called the Green Street Elite (GSE), whereas the real West Ham 'firm' was called the Inter City Firm (ICF), so called as the hooligans used to use Inter City trains to travel to away matches.

And more than 300 Chinese families a year hire the Green Street Mortuary Band to give their loved ones a proper and musical send-off through the streets of Chinatown.

Today, the legendary Green Street Band continues to accompany the ritual funeral processions that snake through Chinatown, honoring the dead with Christian hymns, dirges and marches, scaring off evil spirits along the route with crashing cymbals and loud drums, helping families give their loved ones a noisy farewell.

Zap2it.com - Movie review - Green Street Hooligans
This tactic, suggesting that "Green Street Hooligans" is just too darned real for the mainstream entertainment industry to fathom would make a lot more sense if the movie itself weren't so mind-numbingly derivative and conventional in nearly every way.
He's a wide-eyed innocent surrounded by lusty heathens and his only path to acceptance is to go from voyeur to participant and with each fl eye, he's more a man. Along the way, he get mini-lectures on Cockney rhyming slang, driving on the left side of the road and the art form of instigation.

 Blogcritics.org: Movie Review: Green Street
At the beginning of Green Street, Matt Buckner is the perfect contemporary man. He's safe for everyone.
Green Street may not be what most people want it to be; it doesn't show what society dictates should be shown — or should be — and it doesn't come to conclusions that are in complete harmony with the current view of an ideal society or an ideal man.
Technically accomplished and ably acted, Green Street never achieves the realism most critics think it craves — the story is too stilted and visibly structured for that — but it works wonderfully well as a good and surprisingly challenging film that could well be stamped: "subversive".
