	Liar Review - Green Wing
		Green Wing was the latest creation from Victoria Pile, producer of the Emmy-winning Smack the Pony.
		It was smart and original blend of sitcom and sketch show, with a hint of docu-soap, and a grim determination to drive the tired old genre of TV sitcom into fresh and dynamic new areas.
		Green Wing for the first time expanded the traditional sitcom format from half an hour to a full sixty minutes.

		Like NY-LON (which I forgot to watch last week but didn't miss, if you know what I mean), Channel 4 have been promoting Green Wing to death.
		Many of the reviews have compared it to Scrubs (which I hate to miss, even taping it in its current 7.15am slot!) and I think that's the problem.
		Where Scrubs has character development and some semblance of a plot, Green Wing is a series of sketches which just happen to be connected by the hospital.

		Not actually seen 'Green Wing' myself (if I miss the first episode of a series, regardless of any continuity throughout episodes, the completist in me prefers to miss the whole thing and pick it up on DVD if he sees it anywhere at a reasonable price), but I've heard very good things about it.
		You'd need to start from the beginning though, as it's one of these series that has an underlying story, but it'd be well worth at least giving it a go.
		This was shown on Channel 4 in the UK, as was 'Black Books', 'Father Ted' and 'Green Wing'.
