Greenock was one of the last rural schools in the Township to close.
Greenock had its own branch of the Farmers' Club through the First War, and from it was organized the Greenock Branch of the United Farmers of Ontario in 1918, continuing until 1923, with J.E. Pearen as secretary and buyer.
Was a hamlet at the southern corner of the Greenock School Section, built on the corner of four townships and in two counties: Erin and Eramosa in Wellington County and Esquesing and Nassagaweya in Halton County.
