The Greenwich Peninsula, sometimes known as the Blackwall Peninsula or Bugsby Marshes, in the London Borough of Greenwich, is defined by the River Thames.
It is served by North Greenwich tube station, opened in 1999 as part of the Jubilee Line extension project.
The station is one of the largest on the undeground network and serves as an interchange with a North Greenwich bus station, which acts as a hub for services in the South East of the capital.

Peninsula Voices is a sound walk using location-aware technology to annotate the urban landscape.
Peninsula Voices is a project in the 'Peninsula' series, run by Independent Photography, taking place throughout 2006/7 featuring the artists Christian Nold and Lottie Childs as well as other community based projects.
The geographical limits of the project are nearly the entire local parliamentary ward of Peninsula / East Greenwich in South East London, from Woolwich New Road / Trafalgar Road in the South to the tip of the Peninsula (where the Millennium Dome sits) in the North and the width of the peninsula itself.

We have lobbied Greenwich Council to improve cycling infrastructure in the borough, and were instrumental in opening part of the Thames cycle path in April 2001 at Mast Pond Wharf in Woolwich.
Greenwich Cyclists was been funded for the first year by a single grant of £400 from the Greenwich Agenda 21 scheme.
Greenwich Cyclists organised and stewarded the Mayor's bike ride from Greenwich to Erith along the river Thames cycle path on 29 April 2001.

She was very positive about the Peninsula generally and full of fantastic anecdote and stories, which will sit really well in the project.

Artist Christian Nold has been invited to collaborate with local residents from the Greenwich Peninsula to explore the area afresh and build an emotion map of the area that explores people's relationship with their local environment.
As part of Node London, two separate public workshops will take place in March at Independent Photography, where people will be able to see the collective Greenwich Emotion Map as well as participate by going for their own walk in the local area.
