He has played with Michael Jackson (United States singer who began singing with his four brothers and later became a highly successful star during the 1980s (born in 1958)), Enrique Iglesias (additional info and facts about Enrique Iglesias) and N'Sync (additional info and facts about N'Sync) on tour.

 interview with greg howe
GREG: And the Dennis plays, he's nuts, he's doing a drum solo and I'm thinking, I've gotta listen to each WAV of each tom to figure out where the actual hit of that drum is.
GREG: Oh, Quake 3 Arena, yeah, it's my addiction and it's definitely become a problem and I'm hoping that there's some kind of recovery program for that, because it's drastically cutting into my guitar time.
GREG: I do have 2.0 but I don't have it installed because there are so many projects that I started without it, everything I'm doing right now is still finishing up previous projects so I have to kinda stick with 1.5 I think I wanna jump up to the MOTU, MOTU's got that 24-channel thing.

 Greg Howe - introspection
Howe shows once again he masters not only EVERY technique on the fretted piece of wood, but he's also a great instinct for melody and tone too!!
Greg is a little more technical here, playin' fluid lines and leavin' big part of the song to a drum solo.
Howe fuses as a real master rock with little, melodic original ideas which keep his playin' very fresh and refreshin'.

Howe, of course, is all over this record but it doesn't sound like a solo record at all but a genuine collaboration.
Greg Howe really shows off how talented he is on this record (not saying he wasn't talented).
Being a fan of Greg since his inception in the 80's he has grown to be an innovative guitarist, musician and songwriter and composer.

James is right, Greg uses a plethora of different techniques, switching from one to another fluidly.
In the Greg Howe Video (the newer one) Greg is showing his unorthodox scale fingerings which are usually 4 notes per string except on the b or g strings.
I don't really know how three notes per string relates to his playing since on the video everthing he shows is 4 note/ or two notes.

Greg Howe says that he is influenced by VH but I find he has his own unique style.
I liked Greg Howe in his super metal band HOWE II, but have never really got into any of his funky guitar play.
Greg Howe is definitely the best to be discovered by Shrapnel, mainly because never went down the boring neo-classical route but opted for groove and fusion.

 Five by Greg Howe CD
I have a feeling that Greg would need more than a name change to be accepted by tens of thousands of screaming rock fans while playing burning solo for, lets say, David Lee Roth.
I have all of Greg's records and the playing is phenominal and at times, unbelieveable.
What a fantastic sense of writing ability Greg has, and his guitar work on this one is incredible!!!!....

Among the dozens of young guns who emerged from Varney's stable, Greg Howe was one of the best.
His debut album, Greg Howe, was groove-based, and favored funk and fusion flavors over gothic neo-classicism.
A few premonitions of Howe's more fusion-based future reveal themselves on Greg Howe, although it's primarily a high-octane, indulgent rock romp.

 Greg Howe - Hyperacuity
Howe has earned the respect of music fans and critics worldwide, recording his prior six solo albums, and working with amazing talents such as Billy Sheehan, Richie Kotzen and Michael Jackson (!);replacing Jackson regular Jennifer Batten on a hiatus.
And it has every right to be, since Greg Howe understands the art of writing tunes in a way that makes contributing vocals an obsolete matter.
Other than this record I don't know any of Howe's solo work other than some of the stuff he recorded with Richie Kotzen (talk about a killer combo!!) and I think he's matured quite a bit in the time inbetween.

Greg Howe may be most famous as the hired gun for mega-stars like Justin Timberlake and Michael Jackson, but he's known in the guitar world as a player with impeccable chops, extraordinary knowledge, and unique musical vision.
The first two samples are taken from Greg's debut solo release (1988's "Greg Howe") - example one is from the song "Kick It All Over" and example two from "Bad Racket".

CNet: The Texas attorney general said on Wednesday that he added a new claim to a lawsuit charging Sony BMG Music Entertainment with violating the state's laws on deceptive trade practices by hiding "spyware" on its compact discs.
Attorney General Greg Abbott filed the original lawsuit in November, accusing the company of violating state anti-spyware laws by embedding software in its CDs and media player to monitor users' habits.
Thomas Hesse, head of Sony BMG's global digital business, said the firm planed to "diligently re-evaluate" how it protects music on CDs, the BBC reports.
