Greg the Bunny - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Greg the Bunny was a sitcom that aired on the American television network Fox in 2002.
The show was spun off from The Greg the Bunny Show a series of short segments that used to air on the Independent Film Channel, which were based on the cable access show called "Junktape".
Greg the Bunny made a guest segment on "Mad TV" (episode 719, aired 2002): in it, Greg, the jaded pro, deals with an audition for a minor part from his psychotic first drama teacher.

Plot Summary: Greg the Bunny is one of the 3.2 million fabricated Americans ("puppets") living in the US.
As I write this, "Greg the Bunny" is a prime candidate for cancellation.
The characters -- humans and puppets -- are a scream, the concept (that puppets are living, breathing individuals) is totally new, and the humor is both sophisticated and crude.

 Greg the Bunny - Wikiquote
Greg the Bunny (2002) was a television show, airing on the Fox Network, about a squeaky-voiced rabbit puppet, who longs to live the high life -- one where he's got a job or something -- and his best friend and roommate, Jimmy Bender, who is a slacker -- not to mention a human.
Greg: The philosopher Wittgenstein once wrote that, since it is through language that we think, it is language that limits us.
Gil: "Greg the Bunny is a filthy stinking sock who should die, blah." You know, people, if you don't put your names on the bottom of the paper, I'm not gonna know who wrote 'em.

GreenCine | product main - Greg the Bunny (2002)
An outgrowth of a series of "interstitial" segments seen between programs on cable TV's Independent Film Channel, the adult-oriented Fox Network sitcom Greg the Bunny was set in an alternate world where human beings peacefully coexisted with talking puppets.
Thanks to Jimmy's dad, TV producer-director Gil Bender (Eugene Levy), Greg lands a job on the popular kiddie show Sweetknuckle Junction, where he falls prey to the petty jealousies of his fellow puppets and the sharkish behavior of cutthroat network executives.
Created by Dan Milano, who also provided the voice for the title character, Greg the Bunny was first broadcast on March 27, 2002.

Cheers to Fox for even putting Greg the Bunny on the air, and jeers to Fox for yanking it after a mere season (an ignominious fate it shared with The Ben Stiller Show and Andy Richter Controls the Universe).
Greg, a sweet-natured bunny, lives with his best friend Jimmy (Seth Green), a slacker whose father, Gil (the inestimable Eugene Levy), is the director of the "struggling," "low-rated" children's show Sweetknuckle Junction.
Uncut, uncensored and unrelenting, Greg the Bunny stars Seth Green and Eugene Levy and is rude, crude, and stuffed with attitude.
