Douglas Gresham was born in New York City in November 1945 to William and Helen Joy Gresham.
Douglas was away at Lapley Grange, a boarding school in Wales, when on June 20, 1959, he was summoned home because his mother was deathly ill. Again, he went to the small churchyard.
