They took clear plastic nitron and sprayed it with the same paint that was used on Gretsch cadillac green guitars.
These were made available to anybody who wanted to buy an identical set, but Gretsch did not sell many of these.
We have had this drum examined by Gretsch historians and they confirmed the authenticity of this finish.

This is a 1964 Gretsch Jet Firebird in excellent condition.   The top has a strong, vibrant color.   The neck is straight with good angle and very little fretwear.   It has two balanced Filter-tron pickups.   The original hardshell case also in excellent condition.
The 1953 Electro II 6193 is one of Gretsch's first cutaway electric models.

Note: Pete often is quoted as identifying this guitar as a 1957 Chet Atkins model or a Country Gentleman model.
However, all photographic evidence of Pete’s studio use of a Gretsch hollowbody shows a 1959 Chet Atkins Hollow Body model, as indicated by the Filter’Tron pickups, dual top-bout switches, V-shaped nickel-plated Bigsby and zero fret, all features introduced in the 1958 or 1959 Chet Atkins models.

Among Gretsch's first commercially successful electrics, the Country Clubs were directly descended from the 6030 and 6031 of the Synchromatic line, which were in turn directly descended from the pre-war "cat-eye" Synchromatic 300.
They were the largest Gretsch electric models, other than the White Falcon, and the only guitars in the line other than the Falcon to use a spruce top, although spruce is rarely found after '55.
The 1955 model year was a major turning point for Gretsch across the guitar range, and in the Country Club line it was the first for the Cadillac Green 6196 and the earlier Synchromatic-style tailpiece was phased out about this time in favor of the common G-cutout style.

According to Mike Lewis from The Gretsch Pages my Hystoric Series arch top Korean G-3135 was a custom run for Gretsch in 2002 and only a few dozen or so were made.
I love Gretsch guitars the sounds are so unique and you can play all styles of music with them.
Gretsch guitars are awesome and to be honest all you assholes out their with your Ibanez's and Jacksons with Ipods and digital line shit go fuck yourself!!!!
