	Greyscales pave way to zero power colour displays: News from ZBD Displays
		ZBD's latest demonstrator is constructed to provide greyscale to an excellent degree of clarity by varying the shape of its proprietary grating within each individual pixel.
		Unlike other bistable displays, such as bistable twisted nematic, electrophoretic inks and cholesteric displays, the production of greyscale on a ZBD display begins at the design stage when the grating is put down, resulting in reproducible greys at no additional cost.
		Martin adds, "The path to greyscale and colour is essential to match the requirements of e-books, electronic readers, shelf-edge labels, PDAs, mobile phones and smart watches".

		It seems that when printing a greyscale image at 1440 dpi on the Epson with the output reduced in Photoshop Curves, the ink is very condensed and unpredictable.
		The best way of adjusting the fl output from greyscales (not bitmaps) is in the printing software, the curves can be adjusted there also.
		Visually, the greyscale almost resembles a photogravure, it can now be printed or reworked in traditional techniques.

		The greyscales on the Accompli are spread across the potential 256 greyscales, i.e.: 0-63 = greyscale 0 64-127 = greyscale 1 etc The MIDP specification suggests that vendors should translate colour to its equivalent greyscale, but not what to do with limited grayscale-to-256 greyscale mapping.
		The only help you get (but with no guarantee that the greyscales are 'spread' like the Accomplis) are the two calls: Display.numColors(), and Display.isColor() MIDlet writers will need to write device-specific mappings for multi-colour applications if they're to be used on limited colour devices.
		Otherwise stuff like the numColors() method is going to be very confusing if its returns 2 (=monochrome), and yet still generates dithered greyscale patterns...

		However, selecting grey scale does just that and I don't want grey scale- just full fl for all colors (including grey) and no ink for white areas.
		If I understand this right you want clear fl/white only and no greyscales.
		The only option I know of for doing this right away is using PowerPoint.
