I heard that a smaller grip would give more "feel", but I know as a healthcare professional that a smaller grip requires a tighter hold and is more likely to predispose to tennis elbow (all other things being equal).
I would also think that if you don't currently have any arm pain, using a smaller grip on a demo racket for a week or two (on the same style of racket) would give you a good idea if you are likely to suffer or not.
I have found that the bigger grip means that I don't have to squeeze as hard and there is a noticeable decrease in general hand/arm fatigue.
