 GROOM Research
Maybe the original GROOM ancestor who emmigrated from England to colonial America, can be found, then his descendency in America that connects with the PACE family, later.
Cyntha Ann Grooms was born in Clark Co Ky, October 2d 1804 where she remained until attaining her 13 year, when her parents removed to Missouri- finally settling near Liberty Clay County where on July 4th 1824 she was married to James E. Hall.
I don't know if any of this is connected but the Parrish, Groom, Spencer families were related early in Goochland, VA. and Winchester, Ky. Frances Parrish married Robert Groom and her brother Jolly S. Parrish married Roxie Ann Spencer.

Apparently, due to some faulty scorekeeping and management of the AL records in 1909, Bob, having lost 4 consecutive games had entered a game in the 3rd inning on July 5th and was the winning pitcher.
More amazingly, that no-hit game (the second game of a Sunday doubleheader) was preceded by Groom pitching 2 scoreless innings in the first game.
The White Sox had their hands full in this series as the day before they were no-hit by Groom's pitching partner, Ernie Koob.
