Group behaviour therapy programmes for smoking cessation
Group programmes are more effective for helping people to stop smoking than being given self-help materials without face-to-face instruction and group support.
We aimed to determine the effects of smoking cessation programmes delivered in a group format compared to self-help materials, or to no intervention; to compare the effectiveness of group therapy and individual counselling; and to determine the effect of adding group therapy to advice from a health professional or to nicotine replacement.
We excluded trials in which group therapy was provided to both active therapy and placebo arms of trials of pharmacotherapies, unless they had a factorial design.

Group behaviour in sociology refers to the situations where
For example, a large group of people (crowd, mob) is likely to show examples of group behaviour when a group of people, gathered in a given place and time will act in a similar way - for example, they will join a protest or a march, take place in a fight or welcome an idol.
Group behaviour differs from mass actions which refers to people behaving similary on a more global scale (for example, shoppers in different shops), while group behaviour refers usually to people in one place.

language - Article and Reference from OnPedia.com
For example, the boundaries between named language groups are in effect arbitrary due to blending between populations (the dialect continuum).
Some of the major groupings are the Indo-European languages, the Afro-Asiatic languages, and the Sino-Tibetan languages.
Some researchers argue that a continuum exists among the communication methods of all social animals, pointing to the fundamental requirements of group behaviour and the existence of 'mirror cells' in primates.

Language - Facts, Information, and Encyclopedia Reference article
The world’s languages have been grouped into families of languages that are believed to have common ancestors.
Although the members of each group are not closely genetically related, there is a reason for them to share similar features, namely: their speakers have been in contact for a long time within a common community and the languages converged in the course of the history.
One should be careful about the underlying classification principle for groups of languages which have apparently a geographical name: besides areal linguistic units, the taxa of the genetic classification (language families) are often given names which themselves or parts of which refer to geographical areas.
