Group entity - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Accordingly, nationalism and the interaction between nation-states (or the political factions or parties that control them) might be the most appropriate or least controversial application of the theory of group-entities.
Group relations are described as limited to 'eat-or-be-eaten', in contrast to individuals who (do also eat but) can engage in more complex types of interaction with the more complex cognition that sexual reproduction and social living require.
A response to this argument is that groups also do not feel hunger, but can act as a means for individuals to satisfy their hunger - this being the main motive for the corporation and collective economic effort, back to earliest systems of irrigation.

GAO-03-366, World Bank Group: Important Steps Taken on Internal Control but Additional Assessments Should Be Made
A major function of this committee, a subgroup appointed by the board of executive directors at the Bank Group entities, is to nominate an external auditor for external audits and determine the scope of the auditor's work and the reports to be submitted by the auditor.
The Bank Group entities are multilateral, international entities that are autonomous, and the United States, as an individual member country, generally does not have audit authority over their operations.
Each Bank Group entity also has a board of executive directors, which is responsible for, among other things, overseeing the banks' daily operations, ensuring the implementation of the decisions of the board of governors, and approving the budgets of the banks.

 Executive Summary
The solo supervision of individual entities is complemented by a general qualitative assessment of the group as a whole and, usually, by a quantitative group-wide assessment of the adequacy of capital.
The Tripartite Group is of the view that, notwithstanding moral hazard, supervisors should be able to obtain prudential information about the unregulated entities in a group in order to supervise the regulated parts effectively, and to be able to conduct a groupbased risk assessment.
Other members of the Group, however, view a financial conglomerate as a single economic unit and, from a "going concern" perspective, they are prepared to assume that capital surpluses in individual entities are available to the group as a whole.

Rights of Access to Prudencial Information
Whatever form a financial conglomerate takes, the effective supervision of groups comprising disparate entities subject to supervisors and regulators of more than one discipline and in more than one country requires a considerable emphasis on cooperation between the authorities concerned.
The Tripartite Group believes that, where external auditors have concerns about the financial or operational condition of a regulated entity (or a group to which a regulated entity belongs), they should be required to ensure that such concerns are brought to the attention of the relevant supervisor.
Where the parent company in a group is a supervised bank, securities firm or insurance company and is the dominant entity in the group, it would be sensible for the parent's supervisor to assume the role of convenor.

Group entities in the simulation may be viewed as a miniature simulation in itself, which is what the view up and view down commands are for.
Thus, a hierarchy of entities and their relationships may be represented in a simulation, allowing abstraction and detail hiding of a complex system as well as modularity of its components through the group mechanism.
Entities may be contained within other special entities, called group entities, which are entities themselves.

At worst, then, the character entities actually used in a given document (generally a small subset of those available) can be declared in the internal subset, and are 100% interoperable across processors.
Placing lists of character entity declarations in separate files, and then referencing them from the internal subset as external parameter entities, is the appropriate way to specify multiple sets of character entities.
Character references, whether decimal or hexadecimal, offer the same power as character entities, but not the same ease of use.

In order to save confusion in one's attempt to categorize all of the various 'alien' entities encountered during paranormal events, it is possible to 'break down' most if not all of the reports into two 'entity' types or categories of intelligent, though not necessarily benevolent, 'entities'.
The following synopsis of the various 'alien' groups is based upon hundreds of corroborating accounts of encounters with Terran, Subterran or Exterran groups over a period of several years.

The Galois Group of a Polynomial
From group theory it can be shown that this is possible for the fully symmetric permutation groups of two, three, or four entities (of orders 2, 6, and 24 respectively), but not for the fully symmetric group of five (or more) entities.
This, therefore, is the Galois group of the preceding polynomial relative to the coefficient field Q. One of the most important applications of Galois theory (indeed, the reason it was invented) is to provide the criterion for deciding when a polynomial is solvable by means of rational operations and root extractions.
The Galois group of the polynomial is then the group G of automorphisms of E that leave F fixed.
