Guadalquivir is the second longest river (A large natural stream of water (larger than a creek)) of Spain (A parliamentary monarchy in southwestern Europe on the Iberian Peninsula; a former colonial power).
The name comes from the Arabic (The Semitic language of the Arabs; spoken in a variety of dialects) Wadi al-Kabir (the big river).
The marsh (Low-lying wet land with grassy vegetation; usually is a transition zone between land and water) y lowlands at the river's end are known as "Las Marismas".
