When a weapon is completed, it must not have too much play or "whip." When swung in a normal fashion, a weapon's tip should not flex more than three inches out of line from the main shaft.
The guard should be stiff but pliable enough that it will not bend in such a fashion as to trap or damage the hand of the user.
The weight of a weapon is very subjective, and depends on the individual, but Players are encouraged to make their weapons as light as possible, while following all other standards.

Tips, pommel tips, and heads of weapons are to be made of "open cell" foam, such as the foam in couch cushions (please do not disassemble your mothers couch to make a sword!).
Slide the cross guard onto the foam snug up to the blade and secure in place at the base (nearest the grip) with a couple small pieces of duct tape.
