		Ultima VIII is an interesting game, and I'm pretty sure Richard Garriott caught some flak from right-wing fundamentalist groups about it, but I think that's what he was shooting for when he designed this game.
		In this Ultima, the player reprises his role as the Avatar, but on the world of Pagan; one of the dimensions the Guardian has conquered in his quest for whatever it is he's looking for.
		Snatched off the Serpent Isle by the Guardian after restoring Balance and foiling the big red guy's insane plot to destroy everything, the Avatar is dragged through the Void and dropped onto Pagan to keep him busy while the Guardian takes over Britannia and Earth, in that order.
