The Cannone Guarnerius is a famous violin made by Italian luthier Giuseppe Antonio Guarnieri.
When it needed repairs, it was sent to the greatest luthier of the day, Jean Baptiste Vuillaume in Paris.
Not only did Vuillaume repair the Guarnerius, but he also made an exact replica.

The period between 1700 and 1720, principally around 1715, is often referred to as Stradivari's "golden age." These are the times when Stradivari produced his greatest instruments and almost all contemporary luthiers try to reproduce his work from this period.
The Italian luthier Giuseppe Guarnerius del Gesu is also an important source of inspiration for contemporary luthiers.
Another characteristic that differentiate the Stradivarius Violins from the Guarnerius Violins is the shape of the "F" holes.

“The David” Guarnerius del Gesu is the instrument Jascha Heifetz played in virtually all of his concerts and recordings in the last half-century of his extraordinary career.
The violin was made in 1742 by Giuseppe Guarnerius “del Gesu” of Cremona, Italy, whose instruments are considered to be on a par with those of Stradivarius, his contemporary.
Barantschik, who began his first season as Concertmaster of the San Francisco Symphony in September, 2001, was formerly the Concertmaster of the London Symphony Orchestra and the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra.

 Strings for a Paesold
The guarnerius has a big and bright sound, the Strad is very mellow and dark.
For now I am happy with Pirastro Piranitos on both my violins, but cant wait for my Guarnerius to have some Pirastro Violinos on, as these are a synthetic core type string which will probably make it less focussed than steel strings, and will probably "tame" my Guarnerius copy a little more.
It is exciting to try out all the various types although one has to be patient with the settling in time.

This of course does not mean it was made in 1715.
Like most of the violins in this collection it is dated to the turn of the century and probably made in Germany.
The sound of the violin is definitely that of a Guarnerius model violin.

Ive heard a Guarnerius once in a recording, and again just gathering what I myself have heard, it sounds as if the Guarnerius maybe has a larger curved belly and back (though not alot) and perhaps a tad bit bigger of a bass line.

Are the Lawler or the ZeuS Guarnerius trumpets any good?
Lawler trumpets are wonderful...as are Eclipse horns..I have never played a Zeus, but if you ever read the Trumpet herald website, the mere mention of Zeus is enough to inspire knock down drag out fights.
Much of it has to do with the reputation of the owner of the company..but without getting into that..Zeus Guarnerius is suppose to be a replica of the Bach Mount Vernon Trumpet..It is manufacturered by Kanstul...so why not try one of Kanstul's horn's instead?
