Heat fixing roller having powder metal gudgeon - Patent 5094613
Gudgeons were made experimentally, under varying conditions, from several types of austenitic stainless steel powder including AISI type 316 powder having particle sizes -10+25 mesh, -30+50 mesh, -50+100 mesh, and -100 mesh as shown for example in FIG.
According to the present invention, the sintered gudgeon 34A, 34B with the undercut or groove 64 machined therein, is thereafter connected to the core 30 of the roller 20.
The result is a heated roller with gudgeons that can each safely withstand the substantial forces necessary to produce the required fixing pressures, and for substantially longer lives than plastic gudgeons, and gudgeons that have a thermal conductivity of only about 5.0 (Btu-ft/hr-ft.sup.2 -.degree.F.) at the high temperature of 400.degree.

Western Carp Gudgeon - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Western Carp Gudgeon, Hypseleotris klunzingeri, is a carp gudgeon.
Carp gudgeons are small perciform fish (similar in size, shape and colour) found in the Australian Murray-Darling river system, mainly in lowland environments, but some have been observed in upland environments.
However, recent genetic research suggests that the carp gudgeons are a cryptic species complex composed of at least four species and many hybrids; their taxonomy is extremely complicated, unresolved and not accurately reflected by current scientific and common names.

The tour-de-force of Gudgeon’s Greetings from the Vodka Sea is a series of stories at the opening and closing of the volume that revolve around the October Crisis, an historic event that remains underused as a metaphor in Canadian writing.
In Gudgeon’s work, the Crisis itself is less important than its usefulness as a backdrop to the sexual machinations of a collection of characters intent on satisfying their own interests (Wannacott and Thérèse appear as minor characters in these stories).
The brilliance of Gudgeon’s work resides in his consistently effective portrayals of a warped world that is a projection of the warped impulses of the individuals he creates.

New species of Gudgeon described | Practical Fishkeeping magazine
Many people have previously considered Gudgeon to be members of a single variable species, or as subspecies of Gobio gobio, however, recent evidence has suggested that the genus includes a number of distinct species.
We reported the description of a new species, Gobio kubanicus, in September 2004, after studies on the range of Gobio gobio, the common Gudgeon, showed that the range was not as previously believed.
Scientists now believe that the true Gudgeon, G. gobio, is restricted to a smaller area than previously believed.
