		In 1938, the Parish of Guinobatan had a land area of 29,564 hectares and a population of 31,048 with a Bicolano Parish Priest, Rev. FR.
		It was said that every member of the families in Guinobatan, be they children and adults were seen in long lives to the direction of the church site bringing stones, bricks, sand and other building materials they could freely contribute for the reconstruction of the church.
		Well, two parish priests earlier assigned in Guinobatan parish took turns in the renovation of the church when it was again destroyed by successive strong typhoons in the area.

		GUINOBATAN, Albay -- Thousands of soft-shelled turtles in Guinobatan town, Albay province, might soon disappear if villagers do not stop catching them for food.
		Since their discovery in the San Francisco River in Barangay Minto in 1997, the turtles, which belong to the family of Chinese soft-shelled turtles (Pelodiscus sinensis), have been cooked and served as appetizers during drinking sprees, according to the Protected Area, Wildlife and Coastal Zone Management Services office in Bicol.

		Officials said at least 350 people died in Barangay Maypon in Guinobatan, Albay when Remingâs heavy rains loosened the volcanic debris at the upper slopes of Mayon volcano, causing the deadly mudflows that buried the communities around it.

		Indeed, it is the most well-preserved municipio in Albay, but there was so much clutter because of ongoing basketball competitions, the entire perimeter fence was covered with galvanized iron sheets maybe because they charged entrance to the games and with the cover, bystanders could not watch.
