Now, the album itself makes it apparent that the Fender that is in focus is his best friend, but this cover isn't exactly something that is going to jump off the shelf and into my hand.
I do, however, want to stress again that the guitar on the album does show a lot of promise, and perhaps that is what Robert Valdes' goal was, and he didn't think that a solo guitar album, without vocals, would sell too well.
This isn't necessarily an album for today's "college" audience or younger, who might be concerned with their "image" or who's hot today.

 Howard's guide to great music!
In the course of their seven studio albums they used an ever-changing team of session musicians to achieve the results they desired, although they were highly competent musicians in their own right (Donald on piano/keyboards and vocals, Walter on bass and electric guitar).
Her first album (either called Joni Mitchell or Song to a Seagull, depending on who you ask!) is a bare-bones, vocal and guitar album, with occasional splashes of piano and other sounds/instruments.
With acoustic guitars as the only means of making music, the three guitar-playing Beatles spent many weeks developed their finger-picking skills, and writing songs that that detail their new-found sense of clarity and calm.

FEATURED ARTIST OR BAND - RANDY PEVLER
At any time, good metal guitar instrumental albums with a searing guitarist at the helm are a treat in themselves, but when one comes along with THREE lead guitarists in there, you simply have to sit up and take notice, especially if it’s an album as absolutely spot on and sizzling as this one.
It is even more consistent than the previous solo albums, and while they are superb displays of instrumental rock guitar playing, this one has all the ingredients to wake up even the most jaded of rock guitar fans.
The production of the album is top notch and the playing heart-felt, coming complete with a depth of sound that helps fill the room with tracks that sound totally structured and well composed.

The Best Air Guitar Album In The World,,, Ever! Nov 01
Air Guitar...' is a TV-advertised double set of 41 tracks that's intended to make the listener want to thrash the living daylights out of their substitute 'instrument' of choice.
In sheer air guitar terms there are some curious choices - Jeff Beck's 'Where Were You' is a fine song, but it's not really the stuff air guitar is made of - but there's a good selection of old and new tracks, including fierce stuff by Blur, McCartney and Robbie Williams.
It opens with the 'Air Guitar edit' of Tie Your Mother Down, in case you wondered the only difference is that instead of the long intro it does WWRY drums and guitar.

No note is wasted and no notes are superfluous, yet the result is one astoundingly rock oriented, superbly played, dynamic and blood-rushing album that has guitar work to die for and a rhythm section so fantastic sounding that they deserve to pick up an award for their contribution.
IS Sometimes, admittedly very rarely, an album comes along that is so unique, creative and original as to be, not only ahead of its time, but also regarded as a genuine landmark in musical history.
The 3 tracks on this album were recorded ten years ago, and even now the music is still ahead of its time, and can really be seen as one of the finest albums of the last 20 years.

Recording of the album took place over a long period of time and perhaps his success in creating something extraordinary is because it was written and recorded under completely different circumstances to the average album.
Covering a vast range of textures and styles, the album is split into two sections, the first uses electric guitar whilst the second concentrates on acoustic flavours.
The album is so epic that it's hard to sum up in just a few words so I'm going to choose three of my favourite pieces and tell you about those.

This album was a key factor in my decision to pick up guitar, and to unfortunately neglect my piano playing.
The recording quality is much better on newer albums, and I don't want to sound like a Segovia worshipper, but he really does have a compelling sound to his playing.
His tempos are well chosen on this album, and he never sounds like he is showing off by playing a piece outrageously fast, yet his performances are never excessively deliberate or tedious (ahem, cough, Julian Bream, cough).

Tablature's advantage is that the non-professional, novice, or avocational guitar player can be given somewhat detailed instruction in playing rather complicated pieces of music without the rigorous theoretical knowledge base needed to read music.
The downside to tablature is that it can only be used for the guitar, and it gives little or no insight into the key, meter, tempo, or structure of a particular piece — it only tells a guitar player where to put his fingers, on which strings, in which order.

Guitar Tricks - a great album
Now, I've always been the type who would rather listen to an album in it's entirety than just a few songs off of it, so to me a great album is something like Morphine's "Cure for Pain" that grabs your emotoins and drags them all over creation.
Buena picks you up, and then I'm Free Now immediatly brings you into a reflective meloncholy (which is where the rest of the album does most of it's work).
Also, the songwriting and dynamics are great, while on the other hand, Morphine's usual line up consisted of two string slide bass, sax, and drums- you won't find any great guitar solos here.
