Gulangyu Island (鼓浪屿; pinyin: Gŭlàng Yŭ) is a 1.91 km² pedestrian only tourist island off the coast of Xiamen, Fujian province in southern China.
However, in May 2003, Gulangyu District was absorbed into the larger Siming District (based on main Xiamen island).
Gulangyu is connected to the main Xiamen island by ferry.
