		The recurring and maintenance expenses of the dispensaries would be borne by the administrations of the Town and the respective UCs, he said adding that expensive medicines, usually not provided at public sector hospitals and dispensaries, would also be available at the dispensaries free of cost.
		Giving details of the dispensaries, the Town’s Health Committee Chairman, Dr Jalaluddin Saify, said that arrangements were also being made with some private clinical laboratories in the town for providing facility of free tests to the needy patients.
		The committee, he said, with the cooperation of the Town’s Health Officer had chalked out a comprehensive plan for periodic medical checkup of children at all the government and private schools in the town.

		KARACHI, July 2: Development works have started for supply of water to katchi abadis in the limits of Gulberg Town and Shafiq and Moosa colonies will be supplied water within three days in the first stage.
		This was stated by the Water Board officials in a meeting of City Nazim, Naimatullah Khan, with the Nazims, Naib Nazims and councillors of union councils and town of Gulberg.
		Speaking on the occasion, the City Nazim, Naimatullah Khan said it is a matter of delight that close liaison is developing between elected representatives and officials and as a result the problems are decreasing.

		KARACHI, May 1: In the 18 towns of Karachi, 2,998,783 voters exercised their right in the referendum, in which 2,894,396 votes were cast in favour of continuation of the reforming agenda of President Gen Pervez Musharraf till October 2007, while only 79,038 votes were against and 25,349 declared invalid on technical grounds.
		In Shah Faisal Town where 130,583 voters cast their votes in 349 PSs, 124,960 were "yes" and 3,593 were "no" votes, while 514 votes were invalid.
		In New Karachi Town where 95,881 voters exercised their right to vote, 93,179 were "yes" and 2,257 were "no" votes, while 445 were invalid.

		Earlier, the KWSB, with the cooperation of the Gulberg Town Administration, had removed a Cloth Dyeing and Bleaching Factory built over the water pipeline.
		KWSB Chief Brigadier Iftikhar Haider accompanied by the Gulberg Town Nazim Farooq Naimatullah and other officials visited the site and reviewed the repair work being carried out.
