The Gulf South Conference (GSC) is a College Athletic Conference which operates in the southeastern United States.
Originally known as the Mid-South Conference, the GSC was formed by six universities in the summer of 1970: Delta State, Florence State (now North Alabama), Jacksonville State, Livingston (now West Alabama), Tennessee-Martin and Troy State.
GSC members feature comprehensive athletic programs that compete for 14 official conference championships: football, men’s and women’s cross country, men’s and women’s soccer, women’s volleyball, men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, softball, men’s and women’s tennis and men’s and women’s golf.

The Lincoln Memorial University women’s soccer team’s quest to repeat as NCAA South Region Champions came to an end Friday afternoon in Pensacola, Florida as the Lady Railsplitters were defeated by the University of West Florida 3-1 in regulation.
Prior to Sunday’s GSC Championship matches, only two times in the history of the Gulf South Conference Soccer Tournament had one of its member institutions swept the tournament championship in men’s and women’s play.
While she scored her fair share of the goals last season (17), it was Oliveira who received a great deal of the recognition by scoring LMU single-season record 27 last year.
