	Gullmarsplan - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		The Skanstull bridge and Johanneshov bridge connect Gullmarsplan by road with Södermalm, a part of the city center.
		Just south of Gullmarsplan is the Söderstadion football stadium as well as the Stockholm Globe Arena.
		The most prominent feature of Gullmarsplan is the large public transport hub, which provides access to and between the Stockholm Metro (Tunnelbanan) green lines, Tvärbanan light rail, and a large number of bus lines mainly to and from Tyresö, Haninge, Årsta and Södermalm.

		Gullmarsplan is the major junction point for the three branches of Tub1 (line 17 to Skarpnäck, 18 to Farsta strand and 19 to Hagsätra).
		This view from the southbound platform shows a train of older stock running light, passing Gullmarsplan on track 3, probably on its way to the depot at Högdalen (two stations north of Hagsätra).
		The uppermost level is a road bridge, the middle level is the tunnelbana (with a northbound train), and the bottom level is the extension of Tvärbanan to Sickla, under construction when the picture was taken and expected to begin service at the end of 2002.

		Gullmarsplan has long been a major interchange, since it's the southern junction point for all the lines on Tub1 (green lines of the subway) as well as a major bus terminal serving suburban areas farther south.
		Tvärbanan is being extended eastward from Gullmarsplan to Sickla udde, where a new housing development called Hammarby sjöstad is in progress.
		When the picture was taken in the fall of 2001, the ballast had been laid, but no tracks were in place.

	12 July 2006 • About a lot
		This is a rather unusual type of permission, taking it in the middle of my duty, so to speak.
		After all, I am sitting at Medborgarplatsen, which is only 2 stations away from Gullmarsplan.
		And I will be so relaxed to work that little, only to drive from Gullmarsplan to Hagsätra and then into the depot.

		It was the future - because I was also connected to Connex Gullmarsplan (where I am working today).
		For unknown reasons I was in that long Tunnel between Slussen and Henriksdal - and somebody had erased the rail.
		And there was this colleague (from Gullmarsplan, not the railway) close by, writing and studying a lot of stuff - and she was hardly interested in my report.

		Previous cars have been delivered by truck, requiring each car to be divided into three parts for the trip, and reassembled after delivery.
		The car was pulled from Västerås by an SJ locomotive, and handed over to an SL locomotive at Liljeholmen, which pulls it to Gullmarsplan.
		A switch between the SJ tracks and the light rail tracks at Liljeholmen allows the car to be transported via the new light rail line through Årsta and up to Gullmarsplan, where a connection to the subway tracks has been installed just south of the station.

		This summer, one of the rails are closed for renovation between Slussen and Gullmarsplan just like what happened two years ago, in summer of 2003.
		Due to this, the traffic between Slussen and Gullmarsplan are extremely limited, so all lines have 30th minute intervals at around these areas.
		Every 15th minute between Hagsätra and Gullmarsplan and Globen and Hagsätra/Every 15 minute between Rådmansgatan and Åkeshov and Åkeshov and Hötorget.

	Ananova - Reading goes underground in Sweden
		Stockholm is to introduce library book dispensers on the city's underground rail system to encourage commuters to read.
		Automatic book dispensers are to be installed on station platforms, starting with test machines at Liljeholmen, T-Centralen and Gullmarsplan.
		Commuters will be able to stick their library card into the 'bookomatic' and choose from up to 700 titles, reports Svenska Dagbladet.

		Stockholm - Stockholm has announced that it will introduce library book dispensers on the city's underground rail system in order to encourage commuters to read.
