		Gundam SEED Destiny Astray is a collection of gaiden (side-stories) set in the Cosmic Era of Gundam SEED Destiny.
		The Astray Out Frame was built by Lowe using the incomplete frame of a ZAFT mobile suit (believed to be a ZGMF-X12A unit), and later given to Jess.
		Lowe is effectively removed from the story in the first chapter of DESTINY ASTRAY, when he begins a long journey to Mars, but returns in later chapters that are set two years later.

		There's a good use of various mechanical tones to give depth to the usual economic use of line and oversized panels, while the story feels more like an adaption of a series than a spin-off, and the episodic nature works in the favour of the slight nature of the characterisation and limited backstory.
		I'd definately reccommend this book to Gundam fans, and mecha fans in general, as the pacing and above average art are a plus that help get past the normally (for me, anyway) jarring method of how the book needs to be read.

		I'm not trashing SEED, like I said, I thought it was pretty good, better than many of the other Gundams, but it wasn't, for me, the pinnacle of Gundam.

	Anime on DVD
		For someone completely new to the SEED chapter of the Gundam saga these extras are great; they do not go into a lot of detail but there is a little of everything for everyone.
		And as a side story to the popular SEED arc this should fill in some wholes or maybe bring a new twist to what seems to be a well received story.
		Going into this series without any SEED experience I thought I might be a little lost but with this being a side story I did not assume it would be to hard to get in to the right rhythm.
