	Gundam Seed

		The Gundam franchise is the only anime series that really tackles the subject of war, the perceptions of it and the numerous effects of it on people, property and relationships to any real effect anymore.
		In continuing with the Seed universe with another season I was afraid of the show repeating too much of what it did before and not being able to move into new areas.
		Seed Destiny hits a lot of high notes across these episodes but is overall a fair bit more balanced overall and definitely less frenetic but still quite enjoyable.

		The commanding officers have been “brought for questioning” and the rest of the crew is being held in the mess hall under guard.
		Artemis’ command claims that the hold-up is due to the lack of IFF recognition for the ship (which makes sense on a test-bed ship) but they are more interested in looking into all aspects of the carrier, especially the Strike Gundam.
		This disc of Gundam Seed did the job perfectly of keeping the action moving smoothly and keeping all of the dog fights grounded nicely in reality.

		Gundam Seed Destiny clearly builds upon this rich heritage both in style and content, but even without the help of its predecessors, there's absolutely no doubt that this series is accessible, well-polished, and thoroughly enjoyable.
		However, while there's plenty of minutae to get immersed in, the overall flow of this series is rather fast-paced, with oodles and oodles of frenzied mecha-on-mecha action.

		I saw the first episode of Seed Destiny a few nights ago, too early to make opinions but it appears to be off to a good start.
		Another thing worth of mention, the fact that Shin is appointed the Gundam's pilot prior to the begginning of the series is a very nice change from the usual "lucky youth fatefully stumbles on a Gundam" scenario that has been used so much throughout Gundam history(MAHQ pointed this out).
		When that happened to Seed the fan subs were scarce for a while(most irritating I might add...).

		I didn’t summarize the first 36 or so minutes of the episode because it’s basically the extended version of the final episode, so although there is additional footage, the story is still the same.
		Overall, I’m not horribly impressed by this episode, though it does give more closure than the final minutes of episode 50.
		But even though I’m a sucker for closure, this episode alone can’t redeem Gundam SEED Destiny as a whole.
