		The books by them show a measure of concern about aspects of the movement and Howard-Browne in particular, but do not delve deeply nor follow through the logic of some of their concerns.
		Chevreau is a Baptist pastor from Toronto who has accepted the movement as from God.
		He has expertise in church history and one third of his book traces experiences in the times of revival associated with the name of Jonathan Edwards with a view to showing that what is now happening is parallel.

		Dupont and Chevreau are similarly withdrawing the importance of the significance of Israel in the economy of God’s eschatological plan.
		However, as hard as Chevreau may try he is not able to convince anyone familiar with the history of Jonathan Edwards that there is anything remotely to be compared with the Toronto phenomenon.

		But while asserting this, Guy Chevreau contradicts it by constructing his book very largely around the physical phenomenon.
		We fail to see how this is consistent with what he quotes from Edwards.

		It was on January 20, 1994, that the worldwide "awakening"—coined by British journalists "The Toronto Blessing," and described by insiders as an incredible outpouring of the Holy Spirit marked by unusual physical manifestations among believers—first ignited in the small Toronto Airport Vineyard church.
		Within days, word spread among the local Christian community that Airport Vineyard visitors were experiencing an anointing of the Holy Spirit so powerful, writes Guy Chevreau in his 1994 book Catch The Fire, it left people "drunk in the Spirit." So drunk in fact, designated drivers became a necessity for some of those affected.
		Within weeks, people from all denominations were flocking to the church by the hundreds, often lining up outside the building hours in advance of scheduled meetings.

		When historical theologian Guy Chevreau was touched by this movement and looked to the history of Christian spirituality to assess it, he turned to the work of Jonathan Edwards, theologian of the Great Awakening (1735–48).
		In Catch the Fire, Chevreau correctly applied Edwards's early defense of revival manifestations to the Toronto Blessing, urging that one should draw no conclusions based only on the manifestations.
		What was missing from Chevreau's assessment of Edwards and the Toronto Blessing, however, was any application of the theologian's later work, especially his classic Treatise on Religious Affections.

	Vigilance In Prayer
		Not in some mission to find fault, to criticize, to condemn.
		But, as Guy Chevreau in his book Pray With Fire says (p.248), with a heart that interceded and hungers for greater purity, greater fullness of the Spirit, greater Kingdom obedience, so that the great prayer of our Lord will be filled up — "Thy will be done here on earth as it is in heaven.

		Then Jeff told Randy that he had just returned from a conference led by Rodney Howard-Browne.
		"You've got to go hear this guy." He talked to him for hours about how he had been spiritually revived at these meetings, and about how people were being refreshed and re-filled.
