In Welsh mythology, Gwydion is a magician appearing prominently in the Fourth branch of the Mabinogi and the ancient poem Cad Goddeu.
When the boy is old enough Gwydion takes him incognito to see Arianrhod, who declares he is a "bright lion with a sure hand" or in some versions "fair-haired skillful hand" when she sees him drop a wren with a single stone.
Gwydion reveals the child is her son and that she has unknowingly supplied him with a name; from then on he goes by Lleu Llaw Gyffes, "bright lion with a sure hand".

Gwydion Pendderwen was born Thomas deLong in California in 1946 and died in a car accident in 1982.
A songwriter and musician, he released two albums entitled "Songs for the Old Religion" (1975) and "The Faery Shaman" (1982) that were received with acclaim by the pagan community.

This site belongs to my two deaf Australian Shepherds, Gwydion and Gwenhwyfar, but they let the cats have a corner of it too.
I've tried to include as much info as I can about living with deaf dogs (Aussies in particular).
All that they really need is a creative person who is dedicated to the welfare of any pet, and willing to spend the time to train their dog (just as they would if the dog could hear).
